Classes
 
Ballet - The foundation of all dance forms. It is necessary for the technical development of a dancer. Pointe class is per the recommendation of the teacher. Body development and technical development is crucial in determining whether a student is ready to be “en pointe.”
 
Tap - A dance form that uses the rhythm of the music and the sounds produced by the feet.
 
Jazz - An upbeat style of dance that changes with the times and music. Jazz can vary from very classical to more modern. It is based around ballet techniques which are required to be known by the dancer.
 
Hip Hop - A fun and funky style of dance that is performed to current and upbeat styles of music. Includes, street styles, pop-n-lock, and free style.
 
Lyrical - An extension of ballet. Lyrical uses the music and the words to tell a story or mood through dance.
 
Acrobats - Extending one’s knowledge of movement to develop their flexibility, strength and endurance. Students learn tumbling skills and stunts to improve these qualities.
 
Funky Jazz - Classes for students ages 6-8 that introduces jazz and hip hop.
 
Pre-School Combo - Classes for students ages 3-6 that combine tap/ballet, acrobats/ballet or jazz/ballet.

Class Attire
Ballet Black leotard, pink tights, pink split-sole ballet slippers (Bloch or Capezio)
Tap Leotard, tights or black jazz pants, black slip on tap shoes
Jazz Leotard, tights or black jazz pants, tan Bloch jazz boots
Hip Hop Leotard, tights or black jazz pants, jazz sneakers designated by instructor
Lyrical/Modern Leotard, tights, lyrical shoes designated by instructor
Acrobats Leotard and footless tights, biker shorts, or jazz pants
Funky Jazz Leotard, tights or black jazz pants, tan Bloch jazz boots
Pre-School Combination Leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers, black buckle tap shoes or tan Bloch jazz boots
